Good Value but Very Poor Instructions
By Kathy K
from Dundee
About Me Quality Oriented
Comments about Ohio Workstation - Beech:
I needed a compact solution for PC and printer after downsizing to a small cottage. This fitted the bill perfectly and I would have given 5 stars if it hadn't been so difficult to build. No written instructions, just a set of hard to understand diagrams, not much use for a first time flat pack builder!

A good value computer desk
By Neil
from Surrey
About Me Value Oriented
The computer desk fits in with our living room furniture and comfortably holds; PC tower, Printer, Screen, Keyboard and mouse, with some left over space for other bits and pieces. It appears to be made of good quality components. My only criticism is the poor self assembly instructions, that have little useful text and small drawings. You have to take apart the keyboard runners to screw them on to the keyboard shelf and side sections and the instructions are no help at all. To help others you need to push the black plastic tab to one side of the runner and then gently pull apart the inner and outer sections of runner. Once attached to the desk parts you need to carefully insert the runner sections back together.

Simple and effective
By Mini Mum

I needed a small computer desk but with room for a printer and to store paper. This fitted the bill. It has a pleasing design and a great pale colour. The only niggle - and it is only a small one - is that the keyboard shelf doesn't feel particularly robust when typing.
Nice peice of furniture

A nice piece of furniture to complement my work station, & at such a reasonable price you cannot go wrong. It holds all the IT equipment that you use every day with still room to make notes on the desktop, well done Staples keep supplying this type of equipment
not bad considering headache of building
By Stevie B
from South Lanarkshire
The desk was built, with a little help, just under 2 hours. It would've been short had the instructions been made more clear. It's a joke, a shoddy photocopy that didn't explain an awful lot.The only other problem was trying to figure out how the heck you fix on the sliding rails. The instructions were no help and it was a good thing that my father dismantled the rail (not completely) and worked it out. Had he not been there, i would've given up.So a good, sturdy desk when it's finally built but with the added headache of trying to fathom how it's put together. Would i recommend it? Maybe if the included instructions were of better quality and easy to understand, especially concerning the rails.
Sturdy enough, not small and not too big

It's sturdy enough
Good value for money

Space enough for a full-size tower case. Printer shelf a bit on the small side. Monitor shelf big enough for a 24 inch monitor and fully visible over a laptop screen on the desk. Only fault I can find is the runners on the keyboard shelf, which are starting to fail after only a couple of weeks (ball bearings dropping out) - which is why I used the unreliable tag. Still good value.
Good when built
By Tired and aching

Soleley for personal use. Quite sturdy construction but only when you get it built. The instructions are diabolical. You can't see the print and the bits you can see are unfathomable. With there being a shelf at the back it is quite difficult to have my laptop fully opened, when using it at the desk. The shelf is handy but doesn't leave a great deal of space on desk. The pronter is very difficult to get to because it doesn't slide out. Totally static. So on hands and knees on the floor to put paper and ink in. Not good for my ageing bones!!
Good product "BUT"

A nice desk. Completly let down by abismal instructions. The ones I received were a grey smudge and unreadable. I would not recommend this for someone who has no previous build knowledge. Pity as it is a sturdy and practical unit.

Very good for the home office
By Office boy

A well made, good looking workstation; however the assembly instructions were very poorly printed and also lacked advice on how to fix the keyboard shelf slider mechanism. The two parts of the sliders needed to be detached in order to fix the component to the workstation sides. This was not mentioned in the original instructions.[...]
Very good product [...]

[...] Now the desk, it did come with a damaged metal pipe and a chip out of the bottom panel surface, but overall very impressed with the quality for the price! Easy to assemble, with a very efficient design. The raised up bit is the perfect height for a screen, and the key board 'pull out' is also at a perfect level. I didn't fit the wheels as the desk is being used on thick carpet, it sits very stable on its base alone. Overall a very well thought out, well made product with space for written docs, screen, keyboard, mouse, computer & a printer! A very efficient product [...] 5/5, recommended!
Great little unit
By Borrowers

Needed a smaller desk and although I don't expect this to last for years, it's a lovely little unit. Fitted together really well, which I didn't expect at this price so well done to the manufacturer. Looks great.

ABSOLUTE BARGAIN!
By Jane
I was given my first Ohio Workstation by a friend as I needed a small computer workstation desk, and was delighted with the shelving and space that this small workstation offered. It was also a good quality product and had lasted me a few years. I recently bought a new Desktop computer and was looking around for another small workstation desk which met all my space constraints, and could find no better than the Ohio Workstation, so I bought a new one and have now given my second hand one to my son. I would thoroughly recommend this product. [...]
