The way postage is priced has now changed and takes into
account the size, depth and weight. Mail fits into one of these
three categories:
Letter (L):
Up to 165 x 240 and less than 5mm depth, max weight 100g
Large Letter (LL):
Up to 353 x 250mm and less than 25mm depth, max weight 750g
Packet (P):
Over 353 x 250mm and over 25mm in depth, max weight 1kg
Staples make choosing the right size envelope “Easy”. All Staples envelope packaging is coloured depending on size and the colour coding has been added to the price grids.
