It is perfect for both business and personal use as it will keep your data secured due to the biometric technology with the built-in fingerprint recognition system.
Up to eight users can be registered with this system and one administrator can access it via a password as well. The AES 256-bit hardware encryption will encrypt your data in real-time seamlessly and it has been designed to be GDPR compliant as 100% of the drive has been securely encrypted.
This Verbatim hard drive will not store passwords on a computer or in the system’s volatile memory to help it is far more secure than software encryption. It is incredibly easy to use as up to eight users can save their fingerprints, allowing them to use and unlock. You only need to plug it into your PC and then place your fingerprint on the sensor, when recognised it will unlock the hard drive and a green LED will light up.
Setting up the fingerprints requires a Windows PC but once done, you can use it on both PC and Mac, giving you excellent versatility. It has a USB 3.1 GEN 1 interface with a useful USB-C connection to ensure that you have incredibly fast data transfer speeds.
A USB-C to USB-A cable has been included along with a USB-C adapter, allowing you to connect to a wide range of devices including TV’s! Extra security is given in the form of the Nero Backup software that will allow you to back up your data from a laptop or PC whenever you want. You can schedule an auto back up to a specific date and time for regular data backup.
Please note that Nero Backup Software is compatible with Windows Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 but is not compatible with Mac OS.
