To combat this, Pilot is happy to partner with TerraCycle – the world’s leader in the collection and reuse of post-consumer waste. Collecting and repurposing waste into new eco-friendly materials and products. This partnership has led to the creation of a new sustainable range of pens which contains reclaimed ocean plastic material – the B2P Ecoball. A ballpoint pen made of 86% of recycled post-consumer plastic bottles, including those which has been reclaimed from the ocean. This new initiative adds a new to Pilot’s 3-R policy (Recycling, Refilling and Reducing), with Recuperating’ – less plastic in the oceans to reduce pollution. However, this is not the final stage of a journey initiated over 10 years ago but the start of a larger programme to act against pollution.
The Pilot Black B2P Ecoball Ballpoint Medium Pens offers a great writing experience, whilst being an effective and innovative way of fighting against sea pollution. Each pen is approximately composed of 2.5% of recycled ocean plastics.
A 1.0mm tip gives the 4902505621581 pens a 0.27mm medium line. Providing comfort whilst writing, the Pilot pen still offers smooth-flowing ink. Each pen is refillable – if the pen is refilled 3 times instead of using a regular pen then this saves up 95% of CO2.
