Last Tuesday, OPI announced the shortlist for the 2012 European Office Products Awards (EOPA), with Staples nominated under the Corporate Social Responsibility category for the tremendous work done on CSR throughout the year at Staples.
Despite – or perhaps because of – the current economic climate, this year saw a diverse range of strong entries put forward for judging, presenting the 16-member panel with a tough task in whittling down the entries into a final shortlist.
Staples have a robust CSR approach, covering pillars of Community, Diversity, Ethics and Environment at a Global, European and local level. This award entry covered actives from across our 17 European countries including highlights such as our diversity focused mentorship program, our new code of ethics programme, our community focused choose a charity program and new ways of working with our customers to reduce their environmental footprint, such as the Small Order Reduction initiative.

The winners will be announced on 30 January 2012 at a presentation dinner held during Paperworld in Frankfurt, Germany.
