To combat this, Pilot is happy to partner with TerraCycle – the world’s leader in the collection and reuse of post-consumer waste. Collecting and repurposing waste into new eco-friendly materials and products. This partnership has led to the creation of a new sustainable range of pens which contains reclaimed ocean plastic material – the B2P Ecoball. A ballpoint pen made of 86% of recycled post-consumer plastic bottles, including those which has been reclaimed from the ocean. This new initiative adds a new lsquo;R’ to Pilot’s 3-R policy (Recycling, Refilling and Reducing), with lsquo;Recuperating’ – less plastic in the oceans to reduce pollution. However, this is not the final stage of a journey initiated over 10 years ago but the start of a larger programme to act against pollution.
In the fight against sea pollution, the Pilot Red B2P Ecoball Ballpoint Medium Pens are an effective and innovative way of tackling the problem. The pens are largely composed of recycled plastics and 2.5% of which is plastic which has been recovered from the ocean. Even though the pen is made from recycled material, it still offers the reliable and great writing experience that you would expect from Pilot.
Each 4902505621604 pen can be refilled, saving up to 95% of CO2 when refilled 3 times compared to buying a new pen each time. With a 1.0mm tip and a 0.27mm medium line, the Pilot Ecoball offers comfort whilst writing and smooth flowing ink.
